Moonstar has made vulcanised footwear in Kurume, near Fukuoka, since 1873. Once assembled, the shoes are vulcanised in kilns – large pottery ovens – in which the sole and upper are fused.
Together with Moonstar, we designed the Sidewalk, a model that blends the essence of a classic gym shoe with references to 1980s skate culture such as the mid upper and the bumper on the outsole.
